This is the first conviction linked to the assassination of Samuel Paty.
Two years after the death of the teacher, beheaded by an Islamist in the Yvelines, a young woman was sentenced on Friday to three and a half years in prison, including 18 months suspended by the Paris juvenile court, according to information from franceinfo .
The teenager, aged 17 at the time, was accused of "
terrorist criminal association
" for having relayed the message of claim of the Islamist terrorist.
According to franceinfo, she was also in contact with a friend of the assassin.
Currently in detention, she is subject to an obligation of care.
During her indictment, the young woman had expressed her desire to go to Turkey or Chechnya and made comments that suggested that she was radicalized.

During the investigation, the police had discovered on his phone research on weapons, shooting and martyrs, indicates franceinfo.
During her police custody, the teenager had however declared that she condemned the assassination of Samuel Paty.
